He was awarded the UGC Fellowship by the University Grants Committee and over HK$230,000 in scholarships from the Hong Kong Government, universities, and the private sector to support his studies.
He completed his high school at an international school accredited by WASC, completed a few Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
Outside of work, he is an enthusiastic runner who regularly participates in races. He successfully completed his first 100km Oxfam Trailwalker in 2023 and his first full 42km marathon in 2024.
